Summertime Stars

This quilt pattern is from the book, Quaint Quilts. I love the soft colors and the "antique-y" look. It was tough to wrestle it under the sewing machine for quilting, though! I think if I ever make a king-size quilt, I'll have to pay someone else to machine quilt it.

Another Recent Project

This is "Stars and Bars," a quilt pattern I saw & loved last summer. It took me until this summer to get it done, but... such is the life of a quilter. :)

My Recent Creations

This is a small wallhanging quilt I made after studying the value of fabrics. This was a lesson from a recent issue of Quiltmaker magazine which taught the learner to "read" the darkness/lightness of a fabric relative to the fabrics close to it. I learned a lot from the project and am pretty happy with the outcome.
